Beschreibung
The first beer in the territory of Radotín was probably brewed by the Celts in the Late Bronze Age. Their fortified fort was on a rocky promontory opposite the cement plant. During the Middle Ages, every housekeeper and innkeeper brewed their own beer. The local production of beer in Radotín probably took place until the opening of the brewery of the Zbraslav monastery, which is the first documented mention in 1593. The privilege, as such, was the obligation to take Zbraslav beer. This situation, with the breaks of the Hussite wars, lasted until 1785, when the Zbraslav monastery was Joseph II. canceled and its brewery sold at auction. In later times, however, the situation did not improve much. Beer was still only imported to Radotín from both closer and more distant breweries.
