Reins Kloster

Reins Kloster is located in Rissa, an hour's journey from Trondheim. The story tells that Harald Hårfagre took the farm Rein to odel and owned when he subjugated Trøndelag in the 870s. The farm itself is probably over three thousand years old. The Nunnery at Rein was founded in the late 1220s and has existed for 300 years. Today, the 10th generation Horneman owns and operates Reins Kloster. Reins Kloster produces beer and ice cream at Leira some distance from the farm.
