Sierra Leone Brewery Limited planted its roots in the field of manufacturing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to consumers over 59 years ago in Sierra Leone. It was established in Freetown in 1962 in response to a strongly felt need of Sierra Leoneans whose taste for beer was growing and also wanted to compensate the hot climatic conditions. Since the time of conception of the brewery, its founding fathers Adrian Heineken and the United African Company, the Wellington airstrips was considered the most suitable site for the brewery.
Therefore, the company’s address remains Wellington Industrial Estate, Wellington, Freetown – P.O Box 721. The company is an integral part of the HEINEKEN Group, its parent body incorporated in the Netherlands.
It has continuously expanded its product range through innovation to meet customer satisfaction at all levels, thereby not only establishing a contractual relationship with its stakeholders but building relationships that are lasting and rewarding to the country and contributing positively to the growth of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
