Stevns Bryghus

Stevns Bryghus founded in 2005 by Kim and Lene Vaabengaard. In 2009, the brewery was transformed into a limited company with a number of new owners / investors still with Kim as the brewer. The brewery ran until the fall of 2018, when a bankruptcy petition was filed, and then closed down production at the old onion factory in Varpelev. All imaginary rights to Stevns Bryghus (brand names, beer recipes, labels, brew logs, etc.), in connection with the shutdown, were transferred to RICHTER's Beer Hall in Køge. RICHTER's Beer Hall now brews special beer in the name SB, in order to preserve the brand Stevns Bryghus. Pt. primarily contract brewing and private label. In the long term, it is intended that RICHTER's Beer Hall will have some of the most popular beers brewed again for serving & sales exclusively at the Beer Hall as well as in selected restaurants / shops that, like us, have the roots and interest in and for local history. Stevns World Heritage (which is brewed as a tribute to Stevns Klint's inclusion on UNESCO's list) is the first beer we have started brewing again. More of the good beers will follow. Pt. If this beer is exclusively on RICHTER's Beer Room ... then you must have a unique experience (in every way), you should visit Vestergade in Køge. In Christmas 2019, we have reintroduced our own Christmas beer CHRISTMAS, which we are proud to be able to deliver again.
