Brewer's Advent Day #23: Fürst Carl Kellerbier

The Schlossbrauerei Ellingen with its fine beer specialties has been around since 1690. FÜRST CARL beers are still brewed by hand in the copper brewhouse of the historic brewery using traditional methods. The raw materials come from the Bavarian homeland itself. The brewmaster knows his farmers and suppliers personally. This is important to him, as it is the only way he can be sure that the raw materials meet his standards. The hops, used for brewing in this beer, grow in the brewery's garden.

Fürst Karl Kellerbier is unfiltered. All valuable ingredients from hops, malt and yeast are contained. Amber in color. The aroma is reminiscent of lime blossom, cardamom and fruity notes. Soft on the palate. Some caramel, some grain and straw. nicely balanced, gentle bitterness.
