Deschutes Brewery and German Bitburger

Deschutes Brewery and German Bitburger

Three years ago, Bitburger launched its first collaboration with Sierra Nevada. The brewmasters have known each other since their student days, they cultivated their friendship and brewed a beer together. The result was a Festbier brewed in the USA for the American market.

The Triple Hop'd Lager followed, brewed in Bitburger for the German market - hopped with the hop variety German Cascade, Bitburger's own hops, called "Siegelhopfen" as well as Centennial and Chinook from the USA.

Now the next collaboration brew with Deschutes Brewery from Oregon is following up. Dry Hop'd Zwickl. The American Flavorhops varieties Citra and Mosaic from the Yakima Valley were used together with Bitburger's own "Siegelhopfen".
