Brouwerij Homeland - Klapgijp #9

Barrel Aged Beers Klapgijp #9 is a Quadruppel Ice Bock aged in bourbon barrels. The base is a bock beer with a twist, thanks to the addition of a touch of smoked malt, toasted rye, and various caramelized barley malts. Abbey beer character The beer is fermented with a triple yeast, which gives it a typical "abbey beer" character, with a subtle hint of banana. After fermenting, we aged the distillate in bourbon barrels. The result is a full-bodied, boozy, and (for its percentage) smooth beer of 22% ABV, with notes of vanilla, caramel, and bourbon. This Klapgijp is already the 9th in our series of Barrel Aged Beers.
