Brewdog and Aldi

Brewdog and Aldi

Brewdog shows greatness once again. The reaction to the "Anti Establishment IPA" of the discounter Aldi (UK), which looks like Brewdogs Punk IPA, is amazing. No ranting, no shouting, no trademark dispute. James Watt, founder and owner of BrewDog, announces a new Brewdog development via Twitter: "YALDI IPA is coming soon", he posts and asks: "Maybe our friends @AldiUK will even sell it in their shops?". The look of the new beer is obvious, because Brewdog is playing openly with the colors and shapes of the discounter.

How does Aldi react? Calm, humorous, also amazing: "We would have gone with ALD IPA, send us a crate and we’ll talk?". Watt quickly changes the name as desired and replies: " “We have changed the name to ALD IPA & we will send a case your way. Looking forward to making this happen”.
Aldi should have serious interest in the beer, so we hear!
