Brewer's Advent Day 10: Herrnbraeu Tradition

The Herrnbraeu Tradition is brewed annually on the anniversary of the world-famous Bavarian Purity Law, which was proclaimed in Ingolstadt in 1516. Following an old traditional brewing recipe with selected ingredients, it is aromatic and sweet to the taste. Since this beer is served at the Oktoberfest, it is only available seasonally and is usually enjoyed in a Masskrug (1 liter jug).

The roots of the Herrnbräu brand go back to the 17th century. In 1817, the company set up an inn and affiliated home brewery in the Georgianum. Since the mid-60s of the 20th century, the brewery has been selling its beers under the brand name "Herrnbraeu".
