Today we celebrate the Special Edition "Perlenzauber"- means magic pearls - from Kalea. The specialty is brewed by a different brewery each year and with a new recipe. The beer style also varies. Perlenzauber Pale Ale comes from the Memminger Brewery.
"Perlenzauber" - Magic Pearls - is Kalea's homage to the many and varied brewing skills of small and independent breweries. The brewmasters decide on the beer style they want to brew. They have only one requirement from Kalea: they must use special hop varieties ("pearls"). And we at Kalea call out to the brewers: "Show us your amazing brewing skills".
At the traditional Memmingen brewery, they decided on a Pale Ale. They've chosen a beer style they've never brewed before - new territory for the Memminger brewers.
