Corona, the beer brand that belongs to the world's second-largest beer group, AB InBev, wants to participate in the trend toward alcohol-free beer with a new product. It claims to be innovative and fun-loving, wanting to "celebrate being outdoors and living in the sun". The innovation lies in the addition of vitamin D. One bottle (0.33 liter) is supposed to cover 30 percent of the daily requirement. The name: Corona Sunbrew 0.0%.
The new beer will be launched first in Canada, then in the U.K., followed by key markets in the rest of Europe, South America and Asia.
From the press release:
"As a brand that originated on the beach, Corona incorporates the outdoors into everything we do because we believe the best way to unwind and relax is outside. The feeling of sunshine is one of the things people love most about the outdoors, and the Corona brand is always looking to innovate to remind them of that feeling," said Felipe Ambra, global vice president for Corona. "We're excited to offer consumers Corona Sunbrew 0.0%, the first non-alcoholic beer with vitamin D, underscoring our desire to help people reconnect with nature at all times."
Cheers.
