Top Pick at Lidl: Wiesn-Tragerl

Lidl UK’s "Top Pick" this week is the Wiesn-Tragerl, priced at £24.99 (€30). Though marketed as "Octoberfest Beers," it’s not strictly an Oktoberfest pack. True Oktoberfest beer can only come from Munich breweries like Paulaner, Löwenbräu, Augustiner, and Hofbräu.

Other interesting beers in the pack include Kuchlbauer’s Gillamoosbier and Schneider Weisse’s Festweisse, both with historical connections to Munich. Schneider Weisse even had a Weißbier tent at the Oktoberfest before 1933, and the recipe for their Festweisse traces back to those times.

The remaining beers are from various Bavarian breweries like Wildbräu, Ettl, and Irlbach. While these aren't Oktoberfest beers, they offer a flavorful journey through Bavaria’s rich beer tradition.

There are some nice beers in the box but in general we need more German beers in the UK . We get alot of beers which sound Spanish etc but brewed in uk.. we suck at brewing. This box is worth the money

This was supposed to be 3 weeks ago in UK for "Taste of the Alps" week. They were a no show, but turned up today, 7th November, so I bought 2 boxes.
