Hellerbräu is one of Bamberg's oldest breweries and is still a family business today. We consider our long tradition to be a great honor. Preserving it is our mission. To this end, we combine centuries of experience with a passion for the art of brewing that spans generations. In the heart of Bamberg, in our brewery on Oberer Stephansberg, we still brew our beers by hand according to original historical recipes. Despite our love of tradition, we remain curious and are always on the lookout for old beer styles that we can breathe new life into in our brewing kettles. Our best-known specialty is undoubtedly Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier. But we can also do without smoke. See for yourself.
